Resin Baths
Big Resin Bath

Big Resin Bath:

A temperature controlled resin bath handling five webs of woven broad goods, this system controls the resin content of the final web as it passes to a laminator.  Coated width is 56 inches.  Automatic resin replenishment is a part of this system.

RB2-12A

RB2-12A:

This is an efficient method of applying the proper amount of resin to fiber for filament winding applications.  Many variations of this transfer roll coater have been built to satisfy the needs of various operations.  The lightweight stainless steel roller is precision machined for minimum run-out and turns freely on ball bearings.  A ground edge doctor blade is readily adjustable to control resin deposition rates.  Fiber guides are either ceramic eyelets or hardened steel combs.  A dancer arm is available for fiber slack control when needed. For cleanup the complete system can be dismantled quickly without tools.

Small Resin Bath

Small Net Resin Roving Impregnator:

This small resin impregnator is intended to apply accurate amounts of pre-mixed resin to fiber roving or tow.  Most units of this type have two pumps geared to provide the proper ratio of resin and hardener, passing it through a static mixer before applying it to the fiber.  The device pulling the fiber, such as a filament winding machine, provides the power to the pumps and maintains the proper flow rate regardless of fiber speed.
